The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) proudly announces that FC Motown (Morristown, NJ) will be hosting the 2022 NPSL National Championship.

The match will take place on Saturday, August 6th at 7:30 pm ET at MSU Soccer Park on Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ. FC Motown’s opponent will be Crossfire Redmond (Redmond, WA).

"We are thrilled to be hosting the NPSL National Championship at beautiful Montclair State University,” FC Motown Co-Owner Dan Karosen said. “We expect the game to be back and forth as two talented teams battle for the ultimate prize. Our players deserve this platform to showcase their considerable skills in front of a national audience."

The home for the Montclair State men’s and women’s soccer teams, MSU Soccer Park at Pittser Field opened in 1998 and has served as the host for many conferences and NCAA tournaments throughout the years.

From 2007-2013, it was the training site for the New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer (MLS) and saw several transformations. FieldTurf replaced the grass surface in 2009, and lights were installed in 2012, allowing night matches to be played.

In 2017, the Red Bulls United Soccer League (USL) affiliate club, New York Red Bulls II, moved in, necessitating another expansion to keep the facility in line with stadium standards set by the United States Soccer Federation (USSF). Seating capacity was expanded to 3,000 seats in 2017 with another 1,500 added the following year, raising the total seating to 5,000. In addition, new locker rooms were built adjacent to the playing field.

“We are excited to host the NPSL National Championship on our beautiful Montclair State campus,” Montclair State University Director of Athletics Rob Chesney said. “Soccer fans will enjoy a first-rate facility and a terrific game.”

Tickets are $10 for adults, and kids under 14 are free.

The match will be streamed live on NPSL.com.
