Exit 39 to Rt 10 WB Closed Tonight in Hanover, Morris County

New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced that the I-287 northbound Exit 39 ramp to Route 10 westbound will be closed and detoured tonight for concrete deck repairs in Hanover, Morris County.

Beginning at 9 p.m. tonight, Thursday, August 25, until 5 a.m., Friday, August 26, NJDOT’s contractor, Mount Construction Co., Inc., is scheduled to close the I-287 northbound Exit 39 ramp to Route 10 westbound to make concrete deck repairs on the Bridge over Route 10.

The ramp from I-287 northbound to Route 10 eastbound will remain open during construction. This is a continuation of work that began last week.

The following detour will be in place: I-287 northbound Exit 39 ramp to Route 10 westbound detour:

  • Motorists on I-287 northbound wishing to take Exit 39 to Route 10 westbound will be directed to stay right to take the ramp to Route 10 eastbound/Whippany
  • Take the ramp to Jefferson Road northbound/U and Left Turns
  • Turn right onto South Jefferson Road
  • Turn left onto Route 10 westbound

The work is part of a $21.6 million state-funded maintenance project to repair concrete structures at various locations in eight counties throughout North Jersey.
