Along with a $100 raise in Election Day pay, executive order #266 offers an increase in the hourly rate for poll workers.

The increase aims to incentivize poll worker participation during the early voting period as well as on Election Day.

Gov. Murphy cited election security as a prime motivator for early voting and the pay raise for poll workers.

To become a poll worker you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a US citizen of NJ
  • Be at least 16 years of age
  • Not running as a candidate for election
