The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (NJDOL) is now accepting applications through April 5 for its summer internship program.

The Intern Learning Experience for Achievement and Development, or iLEAD, program will run June 27 through August 5, 2022.

Interns will earn $22.69 per hour during this six-week, project-based job opportunity that will involve research, developing action plans, and more. Additionally, each intern will be assigned a supervisor to serve as a mentor and guide throughout the program.

“The Department of Labor and Workforce Development is a great place for students to be introduced to a career in public service while simultaneously earning good pay,” said Labor Commissioner Robert Asaro-Angelo. “Our robust internship program gives young people the opportunity to build upon their knowledge, skills and abilities through meaningful assignments and constructive feedback from skilled mentors.”

Applicants must be current undergraduate or graduate students.

The last time this program was offered, NJDOL hosted 21 interns, with several continuing in full- or part-time employment with the Department.

More information about the program and how to apply may be found here. Interested candidates should submit a completed application packet and required attachments to NJDOLInterns@dol.nj.gov with "Internship ID #202202" in the subject line of the email.

This and many other job opportunities open to the public may be found here.
