Atlantic Health System, a leading healthcare provider in New Jersey, tops the list with a total of 10,552 full-time employees. The company's extensive network of hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and physician practices has made it a vital contributor to the county's workforce. Novartis, a global healthcare company, comes in second place with 6,500 full-time employees, followed by Picatinny Arsenal, a prominent military research facility, employing 6,000 individuals.

Other notable employers include Barclays (3,374 employees), a British multinational investment bank and financial services company; Bayer (2,713 employees), a multinational pharmaceutical and life sciences company; and ADP (2,400 employees), a leading provider of human resources management software and services.

Several large professional services firms also feature in the list, such as Accenture (2,344 employees), PricewaterhouseCoopers (2,095 employees), Cigna (1,686 employees), and Deloitte & Touche (1,646 employees). The healthcare sector is well-represented, with Saint Clare's Health (1,473 employees), Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital (1,245 employees), and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries (948 employees) all being major employers.

The manufacturing, real estate, and hospitality sectors have a strong presence in Morris County. Some key employers in these industries include Reckitt Benckiser (1,162 employees), Mondelēz International (1,086 employees), BASF (1,051 employees), Zoetis (886 employees), Siemens Health Care Diagnostics (852 employees), Anywhere Real Estate (824 employees), Tiffany & Co.
