Rollin’ 60s Neighborhood Crips Gang Member Sentenced to 7 Years for Racketeering and Firearms Violations
A prominent gang member has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison following his involvement in racketeering activities and illegal firearms possession.
Newark, NJ – Amir Warden, 31, known by aliases “Stamps” and “Killa,” was sentenced today to 84 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Susan D. Wigenton. The sentencing took place in Newark federal court where Warden faced charges related to his role in the Rollin’ 60s Neighborhood Crips, a notorious gang implicated in violent crimes and drug distribution across New Jersey.
Warden, a convicted felon, had previously admitted to charges of participating in a Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) conspiracy and illegally possessing firearms and ammunition. His criminal activities included the distribution of heroin on August 19, 2019, and the possession of three loaded firearms, high-capacity drum magazines, and approximately 1,300 rounds of ammunition on September 29, 2022.
The Rollin’ 60s Neighborhood Crips have been linked to numerous acts of violence and controlled substance distribution, with Warden holding a leadership role within this criminal enterprise from 2015 until his arrest in 2022.
In addition to his prison term, Judge Wigenton has mandated three years of supervised release for Warden upon completion of his imprisonment.
The successful prosecution of Warden was the result of collaborative efforts by multiple agencies including the Drug Enforcement Administration, the IRS - Criminal Investigation, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and local police departments from Newark, Irvington, and other New Jersey communities.
This case is part of a broader crackdown by the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF), aimed at dismantling high-level criminal organizations that pose the greatest threat to public safety and national security. The U.S. Attorney’s Office, under the representation of Assistant U.S. Attorney Francesca Liquori and Assistant U.S. Attorney Jake Nasar, led the prosecution efforts in this significant case.
