Montville’s Tyler Matus Vies for North America’s Mini Master Model Builder Title

New Jersey’s LEGO® champion seeks support from his fellow New Jerseyans in the upcoming vote.

MONTVILLE, NJ – With an impressive LEGO® creation depicting a heroes versus villains showdown in a dream-verse, Montville’s own Tyler Matus has won the prestigious Mini Master Model Builder title of New Jersey. Now, Tyler has his sights set on an even bigger goal: becoming North America’s Mini Master Model Builder.

Tyler’s remarkable knack for LEGO® construction allowed him to recreate a miniaturized version of the beloved Jersey Shore, complete with the ocean, sand, and boardwalk. His detailed creation includes minifigures engaged in typical beach activities – surfing waves, strolling along the boardwalk, dining at food stalls, and participating in the classic boardwalk games of ring toss and target archery.

Drawing inspiration from his annual family summer trips to the Jersey Shore, Tyler’s love for the beach and the boardwalk games, particularly the thrill of winning prizes, has been beautifully encapsulated in his LEGO® model.

In a call to action to his fellow New Jerseyans, Tyler is now seeking public support to help him secure the title of North America’s Mini Master Model Builder. Residents are encouraged to vote for him between now and Monday, July 10th, at 9:00am EST. Voting is available on the LEGOLAND Discovery Center New Jersey’s Facebook page.

Votes cast for Tyler will be combined with those from Master Model Builders at all LEGOLAND Discovery Centers across the continent to determine the winner of the prestigious title.

Having already made his home state proud by clinching the New Jersey Mini Master Model Builder title, Tyler extends his gratitude for the support he has received thus far. He now hopes to bring the North American Mini Master Model Builder title home to New Jersey, where his love for LEGO® and his journey as a builder first began.
