Boonton Police Department Celebrates New Captain and Recent Promotions

Officer In Charge Christopher Petonak Sworn in as Captain; Three New Sergeants and Several Patrol Officers Take Public Oath of Office

BOONTON TWP, NJ - 15 August 2023 - Last night's Town Council meeting marked a significant milestone for the Boonton Police Department. Officer In Charge Christopher Petonak was sworn in as Captain, with Joseph Bolcar, Leo Colombo, and Karl Mangino being promoted to Sergeant. Additionally, seven Patrol Officers officially took their Public Oath of Office, adding to the strength and diversity of the department.
