On Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 7:00 p.m., The Mendham Township Environmental Commission will host a webinar on Home Electrification via Zoom. A major emphasis will be on how to save money through energy efficiency improvements made by electrifying your home as well as generous financial incentives residents can receive through rebates and tax credits.

Topics will include:

Converting gas appliances in your home to electric appliances.

Installing heat pumps to replace your gas or oil-fired furnace, boiler or water heater.

Home rooftop solar, battery storage and possible electrical system upgrades that might be beneficial.

Presenter, Ernie Dorflinger, is a retired researcher and respected speaker that will explain the various environmental and cost benefits of Home Electrification. Ernie is from the Citizens' Climate Lobby ("CCL") Morristown Chapter and has received training by Rewiring American and HeatSmart on home electrification.
