The Morris County Prosecutor's Office announced that Bravo-Castro is accused of distributing approximately 350 grams of cocaine on August 29, 2024, an amount with an estimated street value of $27,000.

Bravo-Castro has been charged with several serious offenses, including first-degree possession with intent to distribute cocaine, first-degree distribution of cocaine, second-degree conspiracy to distribute cocaine, and third-degree possession of cocaine. These charges reflect violations of New Jersey’s controlled dangerous substances (CDS) laws, specifically N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5a(1)b(1), N.J.S.A. 2C:5-2, and N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10(a)(1).

Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll emphasized the broader societal harm caused by illicit drug use and the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat drug distribution. “The consequences of illicit drug use are widespread, causing permanent physical and emotional damage to users and negatively impacting their families, coworkers, and many others with whom they have contact. Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and its Narcotics Task Force partners will continue to combat the impact of drugs on society through enforcement efforts targeting for-profit drug dealers,” he said.

The investigation leading to Bravo-Castro's arrest was a joint effort involving the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Special Enforcement Unit, Roxbury Police Department, Town of Boonton Police Department, Morristown Police Department, and the Morris County Sheriff’s Office.

It is important to note that a criminal complaint is merely an accusation. Despite the charges, Bravo-Castro is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. In compliance with state law, no arrest photograph of the defendant will be released.
