Legislation to Incentivize Decarbonization of Concrete Industry

On Wednesday, Governor Phil Murphy signed bill S287 into law, providing financial incentives for businesses to assess and reduce the carbon footprint of their concrete products. The bill offers tax credits for costs associated with preparing environmental product declarations and for the delivery of concrete with lower carbon emissions.

By incentivizing the production of eco-friendly concrete products, the state hopes to encourage cross-sector collaboration and drive innovation in this area.
