Morristown Partnership Announces Election of Five Board Members
New and Returning Board Members to Serve Three-Year Term in Support of Downtown Morristown's Business Community
Morristown, NJ - The Morristown Partnership Board of Trustees is excited to announce the election of one new Board Member, Michelle Mongey, and the re-election of four incumbent Board Members to serve a three-year term, beginning May 1, 2023, and ending April 30, 2026. Each member is committed to supporting the nonprofit's work for the benefit of downtown Morristown's business community.
The Board Members who began their three-year terms with Morristown Partnership on May 1, 2023, include:
- Ryan Dawson, Weichert Realtors (Incumbent)
- Ori Kasneci, Pomodoro Ristorante & Pizzeria (Incumbent)
- Joseph Lobozzo Jr., LDJ Builders, Inc. (Incumbent)
- Michelle Mongey, Mongey Management Co., LLC (New in 2023)
- Mark von Bradsky, NK Architects / Structure Studio (Incumbent)
Newly elected Board Member Michelle Mongey expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "I am honored to have been elected to the Morristown Partnership Board of Trustees, and I look forward to connecting with community members and the current Board to continue moving Morristown in a positive direction." Mongey is eager to begin her work as a Trustee and be a voice for small businesses, following in her father's footsteps who also served on the Partnership for many years.
Established in 1994, the Morristown Partnership is a Special Improvement District that supports downtown Morristown through economic development initiatives in areas of redevelopment, business recruitment and retention, marketing, events, and capital improvements. The organization is well-known for its highly regarded annual events, such as Morristown Restaurant Week, Morristown Farmers Market, Meet Me in Morristown, Morristown Festival on the Green, Halloween Trick-or-Treat, and the year-end Christmas Festival at the Morristown Green.
The Morristown Partnership also offers gift certificates that can be used at nearly 200 businesses in downtown Morristown. Shoppers receive a $10 free promotional gift certificate, underwritten by the Morristown Partnership, for every $50 purchase (up to $500), amounting to a 20% supplement of free money provided to shoppers to be spent at local businesses.
