Drivers in Morris County are experiencing significant delays today due to an unfortunate incident involving an overturned tractor-trailer on I-287, as well as multiple road construction projects.

Earlier today at approximately 11:51am, a tractor-trailer overturned on I-287 northbound, just south of Exit 52 - NJ 23, in Montville Township. The incident has caused the closure of two center lanes, resulting in considerable traffic congestion. Motorists are advised to exercise caution, anticipate extended travel times, and consider alternate routes if possible.

Meanwhile, ongoing construction has been causing further disruptions across Morris County.

As of 10:00am, road work on NJ 15 southbound in the vicinity of CR 699/Berkshire Valley Rd in Jefferson Township led to the closure of the right lane. The closure is expected to remain in place until 3:00 PM today, causing potential delays for southbound traffic.

Additionally, construction on I-80 eastbound between West of Exit 30 - Howard Blvd in Mount Arlington and Exit 34 - NJ 15 in Wharton began at 10:00am. The work has necessitated the closure of the left lane until 2:00 PM today, likely contributing to delays for eastbound motorists.
