Major I-80 Exit 43 and I-287 Lanes Shutdown Tonight for Deck Repairs in Parsippany-Troy Hills
A crucial segment of the I-80 eastbound to I-287 northbound will be detoured overnight for necessary concrete deck maintenance, impacting traffic in Morris County.
The Interstate 80 eastbound Exit 43 ramp leading to I-287 northbound in Parsippany-Troy Hills, Morris County will be closed and rerouted tonight for vital concrete deck repairs. Furthermore, the I-287 northbound left and center lanes will be temporarily shut down as part of the same maintenance schedule.
The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) and its contractor, IEW Construction, plan to initiate the closure from 10 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, June 13, until 5 a.m. on Wednesday, June 14. During this time, repair work will be carried out on the I-287 Bridge over Littleton Road/CR 630. While the Exit 43 ramp to I-287 northbound will be inaccessible, the Exit 43 ramp to I-287 southbound will remain open.
The lane closure at Milepost 42.2 on I-287 northbound, just before the bridge, will affect the left and center lanes. This is part of a larger $22.6 million state-funded maintenance initiative aiming to repair concrete structures at multiple sites across eight counties throughout North Jersey.
The timing for this maintenance operation could potentially change depending on weather conditions or other unforeseen factors. The NJDOT encourages motorists to monitor the NJDOT's traffic information website at www.511nj.org for the most current construction updates and real-time travel data.
With road closures and detours potentially causing confusion or inconvenience, the public is urged to stay informed and plan their travel accordingly to avoid any potential disruptions.
