Summer Concert Series Kicks Off with Local Talent Jake Thistle Band Tonight in Morris Township

The renowned New Jersey-based artist, famed for sharing stages with rock legends, set to serenade audiences at the annual free Summer Concert Series sponsored by The Provident Bank.

The Township of Morris's Department of Parks and Recreation is thrilled to announce the return of its annual free Summer Concert Series with an exciting opening act - the Jake Thistle Band. The concert is scheduled for tonight, Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 7:00 p.m.

Jake Thistle, a singer/songwriter based in New Jersey, has been captivating audiences with his music for several years, and his band is set to continue the tradition as they kick off the concert series. 

A regular feature at the Ginty Gazebo/Pool, Thistle has built a formidable reputation in the music industry. His stellar musical journey includes sharing stages with numerous Hall of Fame musicians like Jackson Browne, Stevie Nicks, Foo Fighters, Eddie Vedder, Roger McGuinn, Steve Earle, and Tom Morello, to name a few.

In his career, Thistle has had the unique opportunity to interact with and learn from rock royalty such as Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Steve Winwood, and a host of other influential artists. This wealth of experiences and encounters is sure to reflect in his performance and is a treat for the audience.
