The southbound Exit 35 ramp from I-287 to Route 124 in Morristown, Morris County, is set to close this weekend for crucial sinkhole repair work, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT).

The closure, commencing at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 14, and ending at 5 a.m. on Monday, July 17, is necessary to ensure the safety of road users and to allow the completion of the repair work. If the construction finishes ahead of schedule, the ramp will reopen earlier than expected.

The sinkhole repair is part of a larger $15.8 million state-funded maintenance project aimed at repairing stormwater facilities at multiple locations across eight counties in North Jersey.
