A Message from MCMUA: Don't Bag Recyclables

Plastic bags continue to be a huge source of contamination in the recycling stream in our curbside towns. In an effort to eliminate this contamination, the Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority has created “No Plastic Bag” stickers. The crew has been asked to place these on plastic bags they find at the curb. They will begin their tagging efforts in the coming weeks.

If a “No Plastic Bag” sticker is placed on the recyclables, crews will not return to pick it up until next collection day when the plastic bags have been removed.
