Multiple Roadway Incidents and Construction Projects Impact Traffic in Morris County

From downed trees in Washington Twp to multiple road constructions in Morristown, Morris County commuters face significant disruptions.

A series of incidents and construction projects are currently causing significant disruptions across various locations in New Jersey. A downed pole and tree along with downed wires have resulted in the complete closure of all lanes on US 46, east of CR 604/NJ 182/Willow Grove St in Washington Twp as of 9:44 am.

Furthermore, a multitude of construction projects are impacting traffic flow on several major roadways.

In Jefferson Twp, as of 10:00 am, construction on NJ 15 northbound Taylor Rd has closed one left lane, which will remain closed until 1:00 PM. Simultaneously, another construction activity on NJ 15 northbound near CR 699/Berkshire Valley Rd in Rockaway Twp, initiated at 9:00 am, has led to the closure of one right lane until 2:00 PM.

Construction work is also ongoing on NJ 23 in both directions from North of Alexander Av in Pequannock Twp to North of Maple Lake Rd in Kinnelon, with the right shoulder closed until 3:00 PM.

Similarly, there is construction work on I-80 eastbound near Exit 35 - Mount Hope Av in Rockaway Twp, NJ 24 eastbound near Exit 2 - CR 510/Columbia Turnpike in Hanover Twp, and on I-287 northbound near Exit 35 - NJ 124 in Morristown, with the right shoulder closed on each until 3:00 PM.

Lastly, from 7:00 am today, construction work on I-287 northbound near Exit 41 - I-80 and Exit 44 - US 202 in Parsippany-Troy Hills Twp has closed the right shoulder until 3:00 PM.

Commuters are advised to be patient, plan for delays, and if possible, find alternative routes. Updates will be provided as they become available.
