Morris County Honors Dr. Joseph S. Weisberg
The Morris County Board of County Commissioners honored Dr. Joseph S. Weisberg last night in recognition of his more than four decades of dedicated public service to the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills, the County College of Morris (CCM) and all of Morris County.
Former County Administrator John Bonanni stopped by the 7 p.m. regular meeting to accept the resolution on Dr. Weisberg’s behalf, which Commissioner Stephen Shaw presented after citing some of the many remarkable contributions to the community Dr. Weisberg has made throughout the years. Dr. Weisberg attended the meeting virtually with many close family members at his side.
“This resolution lists the many things that Dr. Weisberg has done, but what it doesn’t do is measure the lives that he’s impacted. All his service to the community over 40 years has had a very positive effect that is innumerable,” said Commissioner Shaw.
Mr. Bonanni, who was one of those inspired by Dr. Weisberg, reflected on the influence he had during their long working relationship together.
“I want his grandchildren to know the great things he did at CCM. While his name might not be everywhere, his fingerprints are everywhere. Everything that’s happened at the college he’s had an instrumental part in,” said Mr. Bonanni, adding, “It’s been my honor to work with you for three decades, but it’s my greater honor to consider you a good friend.”
