The East Hanover Township Health Department & Roseland Board of Health Skin Cancer Screening
The East Hanover Health Department and the Roseland Board of Health will conduct a Skin Cancer Screening Program on Tuesday, June 6th, 2023 from 6:00 -8:00 pm at the Senior Citizens' Center, 96 Mt. Pleasant Avenue, East Hanover.
According to the American Academy of Dermatology Association, millions of people have been educated about the importance of sun protection and early cancer detection through a skin cancer screening program. As a result, countless lives have been saved by identifying melanomas in their earliest, most treatable stage. The AAD encourages everyone to take steps to prevent skin cancer and detect it early when it's most treatable. This is especially important for men over 50 as they have an increased risk of developing melanoma compared to the general population.
There is no cost for this program.
Residents interested in the program are encouraged to call the East Hanover Health Department (973) 888-6035 for more information to register.
