Morristown Residents Can Now Enroll in Affordable Health Plans: $5M To Help Residents Enroll

Annual open enrollment period kicks off with enhanced plan options and unprecedented financial assistance, aiming to cover more uninsured and underinsured families in Morris County.

Get Covered New Jersey, the state’s official health insurance marketplace, is back with its annual Open Enrollment Period, offering a lifeline to Morris County residents who are uninsured or underinsured. The period runs from November 1, 2023, to January 31, 2024, featuring an expanded range of health plan options and record levels of financial assistance.

Governor Phil Murphy and Acting Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance, Justin Zimmerman, announced the opening of the annual Open Enrollment Period at Get Covered New Jersey.

Residents of Morristown and the broader Morris County area can now enroll in affordable health insurance plans. With an additional insurance company now participating, consumers have more choices than ever.

The Open Enrollment Period for the 2024 coverage year began on November 1, 2023, and will end on January 31, 2024. For coverage starting on January 1, enroll by December 31, 2023.

Residents can view and compare health plans online at GetCovered.NJ.gov.

“During this Open Enrollment Period, families who are uninsured or underinsured can access record levels of financial help to lower their monthly costs and obtain peace of mind,” said Governor Murphy.

Using the Get Covered New Jersey Shop and Compare tool, residents can quickly determine their eligibility for financial aid. All that's needed is a zip code, birth date, and income.

“Hundreds of thousands of residents have obtained health insurance through Get Covered New Jersey, and the overwhelming majority received financial help to lower their monthly premiums,” Acting Commissioner Zimmerman commented on the program’s success.
