Fuel Spill and Multiple Construction Projects Impacting Morris County Roads
A fuel spill from an overturned dump truck on I-287 northbound, just north of Exit 39 - NJ 10 in Hanover Township, is causing significant traffic disruption. In addition, numerous construction projects across various key routes in Morris County are contributing to traffic delays and lane closures.
Today, Morris County commuters face multiple traffic challenges. At 12:12 PM, an overturned dump truck led to a fuel spill on the I-287 northbound, near Exit 39 - NJ 10 in Hanover Township, causing the closure of a right lane and shoulder. This incident has not only disrupted traffic flow but also poses environmental concerns.
Following this, as of 12:54 PM, there are reported delays on I-287 northbound stretching from south of Exit 39 in Hanover Township to south of Exit 40 - CR 511/Parsippany Road in Parsippany-Troy Hills Township. The current travel time in this section has increased by 5-10 minutes.

Moreover, I-80 westbound in the vicinity of Exit 25 - US 206 in Mount Olive Township is experiencing a right shoulder closure due to construction activities, planned until 3:00 PM. Finally, NJ 23 in both directions from CR 618/Kinnelon Road/Keil Road in Butler to north of Paterson Hamburg Turnpike in West Milford Township has one right lane closed for construction until 3:00 PM.
