East Hanover Public Hearing Notice - Green Acres Application and Resolution

NOTICE is hereby given that on February 5, 2024 at or about 6:30 PM at the Township of East Hanover, 411 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ 07963 the Township Council of the Township of East Hanover will conduct a public hearing on the adoption of the Green Acres Application and Resolution which will apply to the anticipated project for the Installation of Pickleball Courts at Lurker Park. Any member of the public wishing to comment will be heard at that time. A copy of the proposed application is available for inspection at the Office of the Clerk of the Township of East Hanover and the East Hanover Website www.easthanovertownship.com.

Site/Project Description:
This project is set to unfold at Lurker Park, positioned at 631 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ 07936. Lurker Park encompasses a variety of blocks, lots, and undeveloped rights of way. The focus of this project is on the proposed pickleball courts, specifically sited at Block 35, Lot 20. These courts will be situated to the southwest of the SportsCare Physical Therapy parking area and northwest of the existing soccer field.

Project Scope:
The essence of the project lies in the design and construction of four illuminated pickleball courts, each measuring 44 feet by 20 feet, at Lurker Park in East Hanover Township. The scope includes the clearing of the site and the installation of amenities such as a chain-link fence enclosing the pickleball courts, comprehensive netting systems for pickleball, and advanced lighting systems. Additional enhancements, as outlined in the concept plans and the Lurker Park Pickleball Budgetary Estimate, are also part of this project.
