Caring Partners is holding a youth art contest for Mental Health Awareness Month

Caring Partners of Morris/Sussex invites you to enter the Mental Health Awareness Youth Art Contest. This contest aims to inspire creativity, spread awareness, and reduce stigma around mental health through artistic expression. This year’s theme is: Be Kind to Your Mind. The artwork needs to illustrate, interpret, and emphasize this theme.

Winners in each age category will receive a $100 gift card prize.

Entry Requirements

  • 1 submission per youth
  • Youth must be from Morris or Sussex County
  • Youth must be in one of the following age categories: grades K-4, grades 5-8, grades 9-12, or ages 18-21
  • Must be original artwork in the form of a drawing or painting
  • AI images will not be accepted
  • Horizontal or vertical artwork must be approximately 8.5” x 11”
  • Artwork must be appropriate for public viewing

How to submit Artwork

  • Artwork may be submitted electronically, by mail, or in-person at the Caring Partners office (100 Enterprise Drive, Suite 201, Rockaway, NJ 07866) between 9am-5pm
  • An entry form must be submitted with the artwork as well as signed by a parent or guardian before the entry is considered, displayed, or published.
  • Entries that are mailed or dropped off must include the entrant’s name and contact information on the back of the artwork along with a completed entry form.
  • If mailing or dropping off artwork, please do not bend
  • Do not staple the entry form to artwork
  • If submitting electronically, still images must be submitted as high-quality jpegs

Judging and Announcement of Winner

Judging will be based on originality, creativity, and how well your entry expresses the contest theme. Winners will be announced on the Caring Partners Facebook page at 4pm on May 9th, which happens to be Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day.
