Morris Township Parks & Recreation Calls for Volunteers to Beautify Local Spaces

Morris Township, NJ - April has been officially designated as Clean Community Month in Morris Township, a time when the community comes together to enhance the beauty and cleanliness of its parks, community facilities, and neighborhoods. The Morris Township Parks & Recreation Department is extending an invitation to all residents, civic associations, sports organizations, and community groups to participate in this vital effort.

This community-wide initiative aims to not only clean up local areas but also foster a sense of pride and ownership among residents for their shared spaces. To support this endeavor, the Parks & Recreation Department is prepared to provide work gloves, trash bags, and trash pickers to any individual or group willing to take part. Additionally, for those organizing group clean-ups, a limited number of rakes can also be made available upon request.

To ensure a smooth operation, all necessary supplies will be delivered the week before the scheduled clean-up dates. The Township has also arranged for Saturday afternoon pickups to collect bags filled with trash and debris, as well as any borrowed equipment, making the process as convenient as possible for volunteers.

Clean Community Month activities are scheduled for every Saturday in April, offering multiple opportunities for individuals and groups to get involved. Those interested in contributing to the clean-up efforts are encouraged to reach out to the Parks & Rec Department to schedule their participation. Contact can be made via email at MVASILE@MORRISTWP.COM, where additional information and coordination details will be provided.

This initiative not only aims to beautify the Township but also to bring the community closer together through shared goals and collective action. Morris Township Parks & Recreation is looking forward to seeing a great turnout and is excited to work alongside community members to make a positive impact on the local environment.
