Traffic Delays Impacting Multiple Major Routes in Morris County

Residents face increased travel times on I-80 and NJ 24 due to ongoing delays.

As of late afternoon today, motorists in Morris County are experiencing significant delays on several major roadways. On Interstate 80 westbound, traffic is slow between Exit 42 at US 202/Littleton Road in Parsippany-Troy Hills Township and Exit 34 at NJ 15 in Wharton, with current travel times ranging from 15 to 20 minutes.

Additionally, New Jersey Route 24 is also affected in both directions. Westbound lanes are seeing minor delays from just east of Exit 1 at CR 511/Whippany Road in Morris Township to I-287 in Hanover Township, with delays lasting less than 5 minutes. However, eastbound traffic on NJ 24 between I-287 and Exit 2 at CR 510/Columbia Turnpike in Hanover Township is experiencing slowdowns, resulting in travel times of 5 to 10 minutes.

Interstate 287 northbound is not spared, as delays stretch between Exit 37 at NJ 24 in Hanover Township and Exit 40 at CR 511/Parsippany Road in Parsippany-Troy Hills Township, also resulting in 5 to 10 minutes of additional travel time.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys or seek alternative routes if possible. These delays are part of an ongoing issue in the area, impacting daily commutes and travel plans. Traffic authorities are monitoring the situation and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
