Kareem Green Faces Up to 20 Years in Prison for RICO Conspiracy and Cocaine Distribution

NEWARK, N.J.Kareem Green, also known as "Try Me," a 32-year-old member of the Rollin’ 60s Neighborhood Crips gang, has admitted to his involvement in a racketeering conspiracy, according to an announcement by U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger.

Green entered his guilty plea before U.S. District Judge Susan D. Wigenton in Newark federal court, addressing charges in a superseding indictment for Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) conspiracy, as well as a separate indictment for cocaine distribution.

Court documents and statements revealed that from 2015 through September 22, 2022, Green was actively involved with the Rollin’ 60s Neighborhood Crips, a criminal enterprise engaged in acts of violence and drug distribution across the District of New Jersey and beyond.

Green admitted to participating in multiple violent incidents, including two shootings on April 5 and April 11, 2021, in coordination with other gang members. Additionally, Green was involved in the distribution of cocaine on March 5, 2021, working alongside another gang member.

The racketeering conspiracy charge carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. The controlled substance offense could result in an additional 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1 million. Green is scheduled for sentencing on December 18, 2024.

This case is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) investigation, which targets and dismantles high-level criminal organizations threatening the United States through a coordinated, multi-agency approach led by prosecutors and driven by intelligence.
