SMCMUA Water Main Project update 8/19/24

8/19 Update

From SMCMUA - 

SMCMUA construction activities to continue this week, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Customers will experience temporary water service interruption as the Contractor will install new copper service pipes from the new water main to the curb, connecting to the customers’ existing service pipes.

The following properties will be affected week of 8/19/24,

• 127-130 Glenbrook Road

The service line transfer process will be:

1. Customers will receive advanced RAVE notifications of scheduled service connection transfers.
2. The day prior to the service connection transfer, customers will receive a door tag notifying that the work on their property shall take place the next business day. In the event that the service connection transfer is not completed on the scheduled day, it will be prioritized first to be completed the next business day.
3. Once service connection transfer is complete, customer should follow flushing, filtering and sampling instructions provided in their filter distribution bag.
4. Filter distribution bags will be distributed the same day the service connection transfer is completed. If customer is unavailable at time of delivery, the bag will be placed on their front doorstep and picture will be taken for proof of delivery.
