County Road 510 (East & West Main Street) is scheduled to be milled and paved
From the Borough of Mendham, NJ -
"Dear Resident,
Be advised that County Road 510 (East & West Main Street) is scheduled to be milled and paved as part of the Morris County Engineering Department’s 2024 milling & resurfacing plans. Milling and paving is scheduled to begin Tuesday, September 3rd (weather permitting), and the County’s chosen contractor is Black Rock Enterprises, LLC.
In an attempt to alleviate many of the inconveniences associated with daytime milling and paving, this project is scheduled to begin in the evening, from 7:00PM – 5:00AM with an estimated completion date of September 11th (weather permitting).
• Safety crews will begin setting up cones and signage at approximately 6:00PM.
• Please do not park on the street while the construction crew is working in your area.
• If you need to enter or exit your driveway, please wait for a police officer to assist you.
• An alternating traffic pattern will be maintained throughout the construction. There may be instances when it will be necessary to block the street for short periods of time. These will be kept to a minimum.
• On milled roadways, please be aware that manholes, water shutoffs, and storm water basins will be exposed. Please slow down and proceed with caution around these marked areas.
In closing, I wish to reiterate that every effort will be made to keep inconveniences to a minimum. If you should have any questions or concerns, please contact the Department of Public Works at 973-543-6535 weekdays between 7:00AM – 3:00PM. For any after-hour questions or concerns, please contact the Mendham Borough Police Department at 973-543-2527.
Sincerely:
Peter Hafemeister
Superintendent of Public Works"
