PSE&G's contractor, Rockborn, will begin milling and paving roadways that recently underwent gas infrastructure upgrades.
The tentative schedule for milling is as follows:
- Saturday, October 12 - Milling of Brittin Street (Rosedale Avenue to Greenwood Avenue, Greenwood Avenue to Central Avenue)
- Monday, October 14 - Milling of Drew Place, James Place, Strickland Place, Ferndale Road, and Page Street
The tentative schedule for paving is as follows:
- Friday, October 18 - Paving of Drew Place, James Place, Strickland Place, Ferndale Road, and Page Street
- Saturday, October 19 - Paving of Brittin Street (Rosedale Avenue to Greenwood Avenue, Greenwood Avenue to Central Avenue)
Milling and paving of Brittin Street will occur on Saturdays as to minimize any disruptions to Madison Junior School and Central Avenue School.
Once work commences, your cooperation is requested to restrict or relocate vehicles you need to use between 7 am and 6 pm when the contractor is active on the street. This will minimize interruption of construction work and allow the contractor to finish as soon as possible. Temporary Parking on a local street within 1000 feet of work may be anticipated with the cooperation of the Police, who will be available for information and assistance at roadway entrance locations.
Emergency “NO PARKING” will be enforced by the Police Department during paving if vehicles impede construction progress. The Police Department (593-3000) can be contacted for traffic information and assistance (let them know your plate number and vehicle location if parking on an adjoining street).
We appreciate your continued cooperation as PSE&G completes its restoration work following earlier gas infrastructure upgrades.
