The Township of Mendham is happy to present our annual Ski/Snowboard program. Our ski club program is open to all children in Grades 6 through 12. This year, the program will be at Jack Frost/Big Boulder in White Haven, PA, and will take place over six Sundays.
STEP 1: This program is fully supervised and both transportation and chaperone supervision is included in registration. This year, parents MUST purchase the Epic Day Pass through the Jack Frost/Big Boulder website – under the Tickets & Passes tab, select, Epic Day Pass, select 22 Resorts, select 'No' for Peak Dates, select 6 Days. Continue through the prompts to ensure that the purchase is complete. **Lift Ticket Confirmation must be sent to David Guida at dguida@mendhamtownship.org.
2025 Program Dates: January 5, 12; February 2, 9, 23; March 2.
Departure: 7:00 a.m. (please arrive at 6:45 a.m. – buses will not arrive prior to 6:45 a.m.)
Pick up: We depart Jack Frost Big Boulder at 2:45 p.m. and arrive in Mendham at approximately 4:15 p.m.
Departure and Pick-Up Location: Mendham Township Elementary School, 18 West Main Street, Brookside, NJ 07926
Above are the instructions on how to purchase lift tickets for this year.
STEP 2: Use Mendham Township’s Community Pass to purchase the Ski Club Membership – which includes bussing and chaperone fees. Please follow the prompts to ensure registration and payment are complete.
Price for six-week program: $235.00. Mendham Township & Mendham Borough residents receive 'In Town' pricing. There is a $25 out-of-town fee applied to all out-of-town residents.
**We will be taking a maximum of 90 kids (2 buses). Please register early as the 90 slots fill up quickly.
Additional Notes:
Power of Attorney Form
A Power of Attorney Form (which must be notarized) will be required once registrations are processed. This will only be used in the event of an emergency and if a parent/guardian or emergency contact cannot be reached. This form will be made available at a later date during a parents meeting in early December.
Bus Driver Tips
We are asking that each person contribute an additional $5.00 in cash for gratuity to the bus driver. This comes out to be $1.00 per week. Please bring the $5.00 when dropping off the notarized Power of Attorney Form at a date to be announced. Seal it in an envelope with the participant's name written on the outside.
Ski Club Correspondence
All correspondence will be done through Message Manager in Community Pass. Please ensure that your CELL PHONE and EMAIL ADDRESS are correct on the Family Homepage as text and email alerts will be sent. THIS IS WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO REGISTER ONLINE TO BECOME FAMILIAR WITH COMMUNITY PASS!
Equipment Rentals
In order to save time and money, by selecting "Agree" you agree to renting equipment for the full season and bringing it to the bus drop on the day of the trip. (Rentals are available locally through Pelican Sports Center, 2980 Route 10, Morris Plains, NJ 07950).
Parent Chaperones
This year, parents will be welcomed to join us on the bus, due to the changes in the structure of the ski club ticket purchasing, the chaperone lift tickets will be more limited than ever. If parents plan to join, I would suggest purchasing a separate lift ticket.
Please read the Mendham Township Ski Club Information Packet, which includes required administrative documents, ski club rules and ski safety tips.
**All of this information must be input into Community Pass.
If you have any questions at all regarding the 2025 Ski Club Season, please contact Recreation Director, David Guida at dguida@mendhamtownship.org. Email is always the preferred way of communication.
