Morristown Rotary Club Honors Major Aaron J. Oliver's Bronze Star Award

Morristown, NJ –

The Morristown Rotary Club proudly announces that Major Aaron J. Oliver, a dedicated community leader, esteemed Rotarian, and currently deployed as a senior chaplain, has been awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his exemplary service with the National Guard in the Middle East.

Major Oliver, a native of Morristown and current resident, has been an active member of the Rotary Club for six years, embodying the organization’s commitment to “Service Above Self.” His leadership and dedication have significantly contributed to numerous local initiatives, including community outreach programs and youth mentorship projects. In recognition of his leadership, Major Oliver is slated to serve as President of the Club starting July 1, 2025.

In his military career, Major Oliver has consistently demonstrated exceptional courage and professionalism. As a chaplain, he provides spiritual guidance to over 1,200 men and women serving in harm’s way. The Bronze Star Medal recognizes his outstanding achievements and meritorious service in a combat zone.

His citation reads:

THE BRONZE STAR MEDAL… For exceptionally meritorious service in support of Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve. Major Oliver’s outstanding performance during operations in support of the coalition contributed to the overwhelming success of the Command’s mission. His actions are in keeping with the finest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself, Combined Joint Task Force Inherent Resolve, and the United States Army.

We eagerly await Aaron’s safe return—with also the safe return of all our troops--and look forward to celebrating this remarkable achievement with him."
