Sussex Turnpike Road Construction (Saturday Construction Updates)
Morris County’s Contractor will be working on two consecutive Saturdays, February 1st & 8th, 2025 from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, weather permitting, to continue the drilling and installing of metal netting along existing rock slopes at two portions of Sussex Turnpike (CR 617) between Arlyn and Ash Lanes and between Arthur Lane and Washington Valley in Randolph Township.
Sussex Turnpike – Rock Slope Stabilization
Morris County’s contractor will be removing trees, rock scaling and installing metal netting along existing rock slopes at two portions of Sussex Turnpike (CR 617) between Arlyn and Ash Lanes and between Arthur Lane and Washington Valley in Randolph Township.
This construction work will begin on or about Monday, November 18, 2024 through February 14, 2025 from 9:00 am to 5:00pm. Construction will predominantly be along the shoulder of Sussex Turnpike with reduced traffic lane widths maintained eastbound and westbound traffic will be detoured to Raynor Road and West Hanover Avenue. Traffic control devices will be utilized to direct traffic during these activities. Access to residential and business driveways within the work zone may be temporarily impacted.
