In addition to the sinkhole-related closure, several construction projects are affecting major roadways across Morris County, leading to lane closures and detours:
I-287 Northbound: Construction between Exit 47 – US 202 in Montville Township has closed the right lane until 3:00 p.m.
I-80 Westbound: Local lanes near Exit 43 – I-287 in Parsippany-Troy Hills are experiencing a right lane closure until 2:59 p.m.
US 202 Southbound: One right lane and shoulder closed near I-287 in Montville Township until 3:00 p.m.
US 46 Eastbound and Westbound: Multiple construction projects in Rockaway, Denville, and Parsippany-Troy Hills have resulted in right lane or shoulder closures until 3:00–3:30 p.m.
NJ 23 Southbound: A right lane closure from Butler to Pequannock Township until 3:00 p.m., and a northbound closure in Pequannock and Butler until 5:00 p.m.
NJ 10 Westbound: A right lane closure from Parsippany-Troy Hills to Denville Township until 3:00 p.m.
NJ 53 in Denville Township: A right shoulder closure between Luger Road and I-80 until 3:00 p.m.
NJ 124 Eastbound: A right lane closure from Madison to Summit until 3:00 p.m.
Additionally, ongoing bridge work on I-80 westbound at Exit 30 – Howard Boulevard in Mount Arlington has caused a lane shift until further notice as part of the Bridges over Howard Boulevard Replacement Project.
