As of 1:49 p.m., an overturned vehicle on I-287 northbound, just north of Exit 37 (NJ-24) in Hanover Township, has resulted in the closure of two right lanes and the shoulder. Emergency crews are responding, and traffic congestion is expected in the area.

Sinkhole on I-80 in Wharton

A sinkhole has led to emergency construction on I-80 eastbound at Exit 34 (NJ-15) in Wharton, with all lanes closed and detoured since 7:15 a.m. Motorists are advised to follow posted detour routes and expect significant delays.

Heavy Traffic and Delays on I-287 and I-80

Traffic conditions have worsened along I-287, with congestion reported northbound from Exit 36 (CR 510/Morris Ave) in Morris Township to Exit 37 (NJ-24) in Hanover Township. Current travel times are estimated at 5 to 10 minutes as of 1:52 p.m.

Meanwhile, delays have also been reported on I-80 eastbound between Exit 30 (Howard Blvd) in Roxbury Township and Exit 34 (NJ-15) in Wharton, with travel times ranging between 5 and 10 minutes as of 1:15 p.m.
