Gloucester County Man Convicted of Meth and Fentanyl Distribution

Ian Dudley faces up to life in prison for trafficking narcotics in Camden and Gloucester counties

Ian Dudley, 39, of Williamstown, New Jersey, has been convicted by a federal jury on charges of distributing methamphetamine and fentanyl in Camden and Gloucester counties. The conviction, announced by U.S. Attorney Alina Habba on June 11, 2025, follows a multi-month undercover investigation led by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

Dudley was found guilty of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine, as well as six individual counts of distribution involving methamphetamine and fentanyl. The verdict was issued in Camden federal court before U.S. District Judge Christine P. O’Hearn. Sentencing is scheduled for October 22, 2025.

Evidence presented at trial showed that from June to October 2023, Dudley worked with co-conspirator Joseph Watson and others to traffic narcotics. During this period, Dudley sold approximately 17.5 pounds of crystal methamphetamine and one ounce of fentanyl to an undercover federal agent.

The charges carry serious penalties. The conspiracy count and two of the distribution counts carry maximum sentences of 20 years and $1 million in fines, while four additional distribution counts each carry mandatory minimum sentences of 10 years and up to life imprisonment.

The case was investigated by ATF special agents and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Joseph McFarlane and Josephine Park in Camden.
