Washington Twp Man Arrested on Multiple Sexual Assaults and Child Sex Abuse
Authorities accuse 71-year-old Gregory Rademacher of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old visitor and possessing child sexual abuse images, underscoring coordinated efforts to protect vulnerable residents.
On August 4, 2025, Morris County authorities took 71-year-old Gregory Rademacher of Washington Township into custody on allegations of sexual assault and possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The arrest follows a July 27 disclosure by a 10-year-old child, who reported that Rademacher committed multiple acts of sexual contact and displayed a sex toy while the child was visiting his home in Washington Township.
Rademacher faces one count of second-degree Sexual Assault, one count of second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child for sexual conduct with a minor under 18, one count of third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child for CSAM possession, and one count of third-degree Witness Tampering. During execution of a search warrant at his residence, investigators recovered numerous electronic devices that allegedly contained images of child sexual abuse.
Following his arrest, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office filed a motion seeking Rademacher’s pretrial detention, which remains pending before the court. He is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and Washington Township Police Chief Jeffrey Almer credited the Washington Township Police Department and the Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes/Child Endangerment Unit for their collaborative investigation. The joint effort underscores local law enforcement’s commitment to identifying and prosecuting crimes against children.
