Step back in time this Fourth of July at Morristown National Historical Park for a spirited celebration of our nation’s founding. Beginning at noon, enjoy a “Warm-Up for the Declaration” on the grounds of Washington’s Headquarters with a costumed park ranger sharing 18th-century stories, jokes, and a kid-friendly take on the Declaration of Independence. At 1 PM, join rangers and re-enactors for a lively public reading of the Declaration, complete with cheering and a musket salute. Afterward, explore the historic Ford Mansion with self-guided tours and period re-enactors bringing Revolutionary history to life—all for free and all in the heart of historic Morristown.
