This FREE dance is sponsored by Lin Goetz in celebration of her 75th birthday. And yes, there will be cake!

You already have a winning hand when you draw the Three of Hearts. Levitin, king of contras, deals dances fit for a queen, or he’ll hit the road, Jack. Have a heart and join the club for this diamond in the ruff who spayed his cat. So cut straight for our full house, you’ll be flush with excitement at this one-of-a-kind event. It’s worth the gamble to know you’ve aced it.

DANIEL LEVITIN

Daniel Levitin‘s calling style blends a mathematician’s eye for detail with a teacher’s care for clear instruction. They call dances that run the gamut from exciting and high-energy to flowing and ooey-gooey smooth, and from old classics to intricate new dances. THREE OF HEARTS

Three of Hearts with Anna Bosnick on fiddle and feet, Norma Castle on flute and percussion, and Robin Russell on keyboard. Three rowdy gals playing many flavors of contra music. . .always with great heart and humor.

USEFUL INFORMATION:

• This dance is FREE although donations are always welcome. We normally have a sliding admission scale of $15 to $20+ for adults. Student admission is $5. We now accept Apple/Google Pay and credit cards.

• Newcomers are welcome to come at 7pm for an introductory lesson on the basics of contra dancing before the evening dance. No partner is necessary. All dances are taught with a “walk-through” by the caller.

• Vaccination and masks are optional.
