Morristown Celebrates Literary Excellence with 10th Annual Festival of Books
Morristown, NJ – As autumn leaves begin to fall, Morristown turns its focus to literature with the 10th annual Festival of Books slated for October 6-7, 2023. Recognized as New Jersey's premier literary gathering, the festival boasts a lineup of over 100 award-winning and best-selling authors spanning genres from fiction and nonfiction to poetry and children’s literature.
The Festive Highlights
Friday, October 6: At 7:30 p.m., Morristown’s Mayo Performing Arts Center will be abuzz as Pulitzer laureates James B. Stewart and Rachel Abrams delve into their New York Times bestseller, "Unscripted: The Epic Battle for a Media Empire and the Redstone Family Legacy." Moderating this riveting discussion will be Brian Stelter, formerly of CNN.
Saturday, October 7: Beginning at 10:00 a.m. and culminating at 4:30 p.m., the main festival unfolds across iconic venues like St. Peter’s Church Sanctuary, The Church of the Redeemer, and the Morristown/Morris Township Library. Each locale will serve as a backdrop for intimate author dialogues and engaging Q&A sessions. Subsequent to these sessions, authors will be available for book signings at the Vail Mansion lawn's Book Tent, where their works will also be on sale.
Special Mention: KidFest On the same Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., St. Peter’s Church lawn will come alive with KidFest.
