Morristown Festival on the Green Returns on September 29th: A Day of Music, Food, and Fun for All Ages

Northern New Jersey's premier fall event will feature live music, kids' activities, carnival games, and a beer tent, drawing thousands of visitors to downtown Morristown.

MORRISTOWN, NJ – The annual Morristown Festival on the Green is set to take place on Sunday, September 29, from noon to 5 pm, rain or shine. Hosted by the Morristown Partnership, this popular fall event will feature a variety of entertainment, including live music across multiple stages, amusements for children, fitness classes, and carnival games. Valley Bank returns as the Presenting Sponsor for 2024.

Music and Entertainment Lineup

The Main Stage, located at South and DeHart Streets, will feature performances by the Heart of Gold Band from 1 to 5 pm, sponsored by 40North Restaurants. For beer lovers, Washington Street will host the always-popular Beer Tent at Schuyler Place, sponsored by Morristown Airport. A variety of beers and seltzers will be available for purchase for visitors 21 and older, along with games like cornhole to enjoy while watching live football.

At the center of the Morristown Green, classical music fans can enjoy the Concert on the Green with performances by the Stone Soup Symphony Orchestra from noon to 1:30 pm and MPAC Select Program from 2 to 3 pm. The Sound Stage, located at Morris Street and Dumont Place, will feature TropyBand Orquesta from 12:30 to 2 pm, followed by Shorty Long & The Jersey Horns from 3 to 5 pm.

Family Fun and Kids’ Activities

For younger attendees, the festival offers a Kids Place on Speedwell Avenue, with amusements such as an inflatable corn maze, double lane slide, and 3-lane obstacle course, sponsored by Oak Knoll School, The Learning Experience, and Unity Charter School. The Family Jam platform within Kids Place will feature performances by Dinosaurs Arise (12:30 to 2 pm), Polka Dot! (2:30 to 3:30 pm), and Wallaby Tales (3:45 to 4:45 pm).

Exhibitors and Food

With over 160 exhibitors, attendees will have plenty of opportunities to explore local businesses, crafts, and food vendors. Families are encouraged to bring their appetites and enjoy a day of fun in downtown Morristown.
