Employment Training Services Help Morris County Residents Find Jobs in 2022

Dozens of Morris County residents found jobs in 2021 through the help of Morris County’s Employment and Training Services by improving their “sellable” skills.

Morris County’s Employment Training Services (MCETS) places job seekers into training programs that focus on skills highly sought after by New Jersey’s leading employers.

The program “promotes job seeker services in Morris, Sussex and Warren Counties for both adults and youth (ages 16 – 24) by providing unemployed and underemployed workers with information, advice, job search assistance, supportive services and training within in-demand industries needed to find and retain employment.”

The federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act grant from ETS offers training grants to job seekers for the purpose of updating or acquiring new skills relevant to today’s growing industries.

Employers can also work with MCETS through an On-the-Job training program to identify and train new talent. The program offers employers the opportunity to offset some of the training costs associated with new hires through its On-the-Job training program.

MCETS provides job seekers with the opportunity to earn key certifications sought by employers in the areas of project management, CompTIA, cosmetology, pharmacy technician, commercial driver’s license, supply chain management, and many more.

Employment training services are also offered in Sussex and Warren Counties by Morris Sussex Warren Employment Training Services, a partner of the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

Those interested in taking part in the ETS program as either an employer or an employee should call 973-285-6880, email msw-ets@co.morris.nj.us, or visit the MCETS website at msw-jobtraining.org.
