Mendham Township - Mount Pleasant Road Pickleball & Tennis Courts Update
Last fall, Mendham Township converted its tennis courts at Mount Pleasant Road to multi-use courts with the addition of pickleball lines.
In 2016 the courts were resurfaced as an immediate solution to cracking and peeling. Courts typically need to be resurfaced every 8 to 10 years and because the Township courts are very old beneath the resurfacing, they will require a complete refinish, which the Recreation Committee plans to propose for the 2024/2025 year.
While the courts are okay for tennis and pickleball play, it’s important for us to track participation in order to maintain this fantastic asset to our town. Tracking data will help us to accurately represent usage. Be sure to reserve your court time in advance by completing the Reservation Sign-up and sending an email to Recreation Director, David Guida at dguida@mendhamtownship.org. This will guarantee your reservation, which will also be posted on our Mount Pleasant Recreation Area page.
