Morris County Traffic Report, Friday, June 9, Afternoon Commute

Good afternoon, commuters. Here is the latest traffic update for Morris County, NJ.

Starting with I-287, as of 2:50 pm, expect delays heading northbound between Exit 37 - NJ 24 in Hanover Twp and Exit 41 - I-80 in Parsippany-Troy Hills Twp. The current travel time in this stretch is taking an additional 5-10 minutes due to the heavy flow of traffic.

Moving on to roadworks, there are several active construction zones affecting traffic across the county. Let's start with NJ 15, where since 10:00 am, construction work is in progress in both directions in the vicinity of CR 699/Berkshire Valley Rd in Jefferson Twp. One right lane is closed due to this construction, and the closure is expected to remain in effect until 3:00 PM today.

On NJ 10, construction work started at 9:00 am and is affecting both directions near Franklin Rd in Denville Twp. Here, one right lane and the shoulder are closed, with an expected end time of 3:00 PM.

US 46 is also affected by construction work in several areas. Since 7:00 am, construction activity is in progress on US 46 from West of CR 642/Kenvil Av in Roxbury Twp to West of CR 669/Canfield Av in Mine Hill Twp, with the right shoulder being closed until 3:00 PM.

Further along on US 46 eastbound, there is additional construction work West of CR 618/Mountain Lakes Blvd in Mountain Lakes. Here too, the right shoulder is closed and is expected to stay closed until 3:00 PM.
