County Road Paving Project on Park Avenue from Main Street (Rt. 124) into Florham Park Begins 5/7

From the Township of Madison, NJ

Beginning on or about Tuesday, May 7, 2024, Morris County, through their contractor, will begin their County Road Paving Project on Park Avenue from Main Street (Rt. 124) into Florham Park.

Improvements include complete milling and paving.

Milling will occur Tuesday, May 7 through Thursday, May 9. Overnight paving will occur on Friday, May 10, and Monday, May 13.

Milling work is anticipated to begin at 7:00 a.m. and last until 5:00 p.m. Paving work will occur overnight from 7:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. At points throughout the duration of the project, Park Avenue will be CLOSED in both directions, with local access ONLY. Detours will be put in place as necessary.

Your cooperation is requested to restrict or relocate vehicles you need to use between work hours when the contractor is active in the area on the street – work will be localized within sections to have the least amount of impact possible. This will minimize interruption of construction work and allow the contractor to finish as soon as possible. Temporary Parking on a local street within 1000 feet of work may be anticipated with the cooperation of the Police, who will be available for information and assistance at roadway entrance locations.

Emergency “NO PARKING” will be enforced by the Police Department during paving if vehicles impede construction progress. The Police Department (593-3000) can be contacted for traffic information and assistance (let them know your plate number and vehicle location if parking on adjoining street).

We appreciate your continued cooperation as Morris County works towards completing their 2024 County Road Paving Projects.
