Two Months Later, Search Continues for Missing Randolph Woman Destiny Erts

Authorities say 26-year-old Destiny Erts, who is considered intellectually disabled and endangered, was last seen at the Dover Public Library on July 11.

As the investigation enters its third month, law enforcement officials in Morris County continue to search for Destiny Erts, a 26-year-old Randolph woman last seen on July 11, 2025.

According to a joint statement issued on September 11 by Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and Human Services Police Chief Brian Lee, efforts to locate Erts remain ongoing. She was last observed around 11:30 a.m. at the Dover Public Library, and is considered intellectually disabled and endangered.

Description and Last Known Appearance

Erts is described as a Black female, standing 6 feet 3 inches tall, with brown eyes and black hair. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing:

  • Black pants

  • A navy blue tank top

  • A gray hooded cardigan

  • Black shoes

  • A light gray bookbag

Investigation Scope

The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Missing Persons Unit and the New Jersey Human Services Police Department have extended the search into New York City, with active collaboration from the New York City Police Department (NYPD). Investigators have followed leads in the Bronx and other areas of New York as part of their efforts to locate Erts.

Despite the passage of time, officials emphasize that the case remains active and urgent due to Erts' vulnerable status.
