MORRISTOWN, N.J. — November 4, 2025 — Commuters throughout North Jersey are experiencing various traffic impacts today due to downed trees, disabled vehicles, emergency maintenance, and ongoing road construction on several major routes, according to the latest updates from New Jersey traffic authorities.
Downed Tree, Disabled Vehicle:

US 46, Roxbury Township: A downed tree has closed one of four eastbound lanes on US 46 just east of NJ Route 183 (Netcong Circle). Crews are responding to the obstruction.

NJ 139 Lower, Jersey City: A disabled vehicle is blocking the left lane of the two-lane eastbound roadway just west of the NJ 139 Upper Roadway exit.
Bridge and Tunnel Delays:

George Washington Bridge, Eastbound: Upper Level: Delays as of 11:37 a.m. with an average travel time of 20 minutes from I-80 to the Alexander Hamilton Bridge. Lower Level: Separate delays reported at the same time, with a slightly shorter 15-minute travel time across the same route.

Lincoln Tunnel: Operational activity is underway in the center tunnel as of 11:25 a.m. All lanes remain open with two-way traffic permitted. Motorists are advised to drive with caution.
