MORRISTOWN, NJ — Commuters across northern New Jersey are encountering significant disruptions today, November 13, due to extensive road construction, emergency maintenance, and lane closures on major highways and thoroughfares. Multiple closures, spanning from Sussex to Hudson County, are expected to impact traffic flows through late afternoon and beyond.

According to the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) and Turnpike Authority reports, key affected roadways include:

I-80 Corridor

Wharton to Denville Twp: Eastbound and westbound shoulders are closed near Exit 34 (NJ 15) and between Parsippany and Denville.
Woodland Park: The Exit 56B ramp to Squirrelwood Road is fully closed until 3:00 PM on November 18, affecting local access and creating backlogs on feeder roads.

US Route 46

Parsippany-Troy Hills to Mountain Lakes: Both eastbound and westbound directions are experiencing left or right lane closures near CR 618, Cherry Hill Road, and US 202.
Rockaway Twp to Denville: Shoulder closures are in effect until 3:00 PM.

Route 23
