Western Ave. High-Intensity Gas Main Construction

Beginning Monday, 12/19, PSE&G will be shifting their construction footprint to the northern block of Western Ave., between Miller St. and Ann St. This block will be closed to through traffic between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm. 

Vehicles can detour around the area by utilizing Chestnut St. and Cherry St. on the eastern side of the closure for traffic heading north into Morristown, or Miller St. and Budd St. on the western side of the closure, for traffic heading south into Morris Twp.

On Monday, 12/19 only, the intersection of Miller St. will be closed entirely from 9 am until 4 pm. On Monday only, vehicles will be detoured on the western side of the closure, to Budd St., Fairview Ave. and Searing Ave. Traffic on Miller St. will be detoured to Phoenix Ave. on Monday only.

Officers will be on hand to assist local residents with accessing their homes through the closures. Both PSE&G and the Morristown Bureau of Police appreciate your cooperation during the ongoing upgrades to the gas infrastructure in our community.
