DPW Laborer Class B CDL
- Morris Plains Borough seeks to hire a full time Public Works Laborer with a valid Class B CDL License who is responsible for the operation of a variety of maintenance equipment and performing manual labor activities as needed for the town. Candidate will also be required and must be able to operate Borough owned vehicles, such as pick-up trucks, dump trucks, salt spreaders, snow plows, etc. as required. The operation of power tools and equipment, such as, leaf blowers, chain saws when required is also necessary. The candidate will be required to perform heavy manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in all type of weather conditions. Safety procedures and practices are required, as well as wearing safety equipment. A good working relationship with coworkers and the general public is a necessity. The candidate must be able to be called out for emergencies such as snowfall, floods, downed trees, etc. The worker must be knowledgeable in a variety of semi-skilled and skilled maintenance tasks. The candidate is required to have a valid New Jersey driver’s license and Class B CDL

DPW Mechanic
- The Borough of Morris Plains seeks to hire a full-time Mechanic within the Department of Public Works. The selected candidate must have their own set of mechanics tools and should be thoroughly familiar with a repair garage and all aspects of routine maintenance on a wide variety of truck models. The individual must be able to effectively and efficiently perform repairs on all classes of motor vehicles and support equipment, including diesel engines and small engine repairs. Safety procedures and practices are required, as well as wearing safety equipment. The candidate must be able to be called out for emergencies such as snowfall, floods, downed trees, etc. Candidates must also possess a valid driver’s license and a Class “B” Driver’s License.
